Stone Soup (Grades K - 4th)
Stone Soup is a delightful tale about a group of weary, hungry travelers who create a delicious meal from some unexpected ingredients and teach the gloomy, selfish citizens of Old Town, the gift of sharing.  This is a great show for both boys and girls!!!

Tairy Fales...a Mixed Up Fairy Tale! (Grades 5th - 9th)
Sweetie Pie has decided that fairy tales are not real!  It’s up to our “colorful” characters to convince her that they are real! This wacky cast includes Judge Looney, Peter Pan as an attorney & Tinker Bell as a court reporter! Wicked stepsisters, Bo Peep and Three Pigs are just a few of the zany characters who entertain Sweetie Pie and the audience!  This show offers the opportunity for experienced young actors to perform for younger children!

Saturdays from 1:00 – 3:00 Dec. 12th – Feb 20th
 
Performance February 26, 27 & 28th
(Extra rehearsals may be required during the week as we get closer to performance dates. (No rehearsal Dec. 26th). Full schedule given at auditions
 
Auditions Dec. 8th & 9th from 3:00 – 7:00
This is a no-cut show, however we are requiring auditions to better cast all the characters. Bring a comedy monologue!  Bring your wackiest character!

Drama 101:
Age/Level
  • Beginners/introduction
  • Elementary school (K - 3rd grade)

Description
  • Students will learn acting techniques, characterization, stage directions and more
  • Classroom presentation of drama techniques on the last day of class at 11:15 (Saturday, May 16)

Date and Location
  • Saturdays April 25 – May 16 , 10:00 am  – 11:30 am
  • The Learning Curve in Union (2004 Callie Way Union, KY 41091)

  • $60.00 per student

Drama 201:
Age/Level
  • Brush up your skills!  Intermediate level
  • Elementary/middle school
  • Typically runs for 4 weeks

Description
  • This class will concentrate on polishing drama skills, presentation, vocal skills and stage movement
  • No presentation at the end of this class

Drama 301:
Age/Level
  • Experienced actors
  • 4th through 7th grade (suggested)
  • Typically runs for 5 weeks

Description
  • Students will work on their acting skills, vocal strength and character development through scene work from movies, plays and skits
  • Scenes will be worked on and performed during class time and will be “gently critiqued” on how to improve and different ways of presenting characters
  • Students will perform their scenes for friends and families at the end of the last class

Vocal 201:
Age/Level
  • Open to all skill levels
  • 4th through 8th grade (suggested)
  • Typically runs for 5 weeks

Description
  • Students will work on breathing, tone, and polish their performance skills
  • Songs will be performed on stage

Audition Workshop:
Age/Level
  • Elementary through high school

Description
  • Students will bring 1-2 songs with sheet music to work with vocal coach.  Students should already know the song.
  • Students may also bring 1-2 monologues to work on.  There will be monologues for students to choose from in class if needed.
  • Students will also be guided on how to put together a resume

Radio Reader's Theater Elite Group:
Class Description
  • This select group of students will learn the art of creating characters and presenting a radio drama just like in the old days of radio – complete with sound effects, announcer, background vocals and tech.
  • Students will dress as radio performers and their crew from the 1940’s and present their radio show to an audience of friends and family on May 24th (performance location will be announced)
  • This is a great class for those who want to work behind the scenes as well!

Role Descriptions
  • Actors - must have excellent reading skills and performance experience is required
  • Announcer - must have excellent reading and vocal skills
  • Background vocals - performance experience is required
  • Vocal sound effects - must be creative with using his or her own voice
  • Tech - must be comfortable working with various technologies such as an iPad
  • Stage manager - will work closely with director and must be willing to learn stage manager duties

Summer Camp 2015

The Grunch is a fun musical about Middle School Drama kids putting on a show…only Rudy Grunch doesn’t like drama – so he comes up with a plan to ruin the show!  This is an introduction to musical theater where the younger kids are the Jr. Choir and the older students have an opportunity to play the school principal, choir teacher and even New York Critics!

Upon receiving registration and camp fee, students will receive a Camp Packet, a practice CD and character descriptions of speaking roles.

Auditions will take place the first day of camp.  This is an ensemble show…so everyone will have an opportunity to “show off”!

  • Grades 4th through 6th
  • Space is limited to 30 students
  • Two weeks of acting, vocal and dance instruction – in a fun atmosphere
  • Show T-shirt & 2 free tickets to each Performance included in camp fee ($25.00 value)

Dates, times and location
  •  Summer camp will be held over a 2 week period: June 15 -  June 27; 10 am - 3pm, Monday - Friday
  • Students will be responsible for bringing his/her own lunch
  • Rehearsals will be held at St. Paul School in Florence, KY
  • Last 3 days of the camp (including performances) will be held at Notre Dame Theatre

Cost
  • Non-refundable Registration fee of $20.00
  • Camp fee of $275.00 is due by June 1st 
  • 15% sibling discount and payment plan is available
  • 2 tickets are included in class fee; additional tickets can be purchased

NOTE: We cannot offer refunds except in the case of camp cancellation or if there is a waiting list with a student available to take the spot.
